Desowen Lotion is a topical steroid used for the treatment of skin conditions with inflammation  and itching. It provides relief from swelling, and itching in the affected area of skin by inhibiting the release of substances that cause inflammation. It is generally prescribed for mild to moderate atopic dermatitis (eczema),  seborrheic dermatitis, and contact dermatitis.
